DPI confusion still going around

I think it's interesting how the myth of 72 DPI being best for web hangs back still from 1984!

It's the best explanation I have come across so far about how pixels and DPI work. A topic I have taken some time to be confused by, seeing as I keep being fed conflicting information from various educational institutions and individuals.
